Start with the bag, not the print
Most people arrive knowing they want their logo on a bag and not yet which bag. It is worth getting that part right first, because the material decides the minimum order, the price per unit and what the printing can actually do. Four families cover almost every order that comes through here.
- Paper bags, for retail and takeout, where the bag is part of the shopfront. Kraft, coated art paper, gloss, matte and soft-touch laminate, with rope, twist or die-cut handles.
- Plastic bags, for volume retail and food service. LDPE, HDPE and MDPE film in clear, frosted or solid colour, printed one or both sides.
- Reusable bags, for grocery, events and brand gifting. Non-woven polypropylene, cotton, heavyweight canvas, jute and laminated woven.
- Garment bags, for clothing, dry cleaning and apparel wholesale. Non-woven fabric or polyethylene film, with the lowest minimum of the four.
What the printing can do
Printing is chosen per material rather than from one universal list, so the options below are what is realistic on the substrate you pick. Brand colours are matched to Pantone rather than approximated, and artwork is prepared here if you do not have a print-ready file.
- Full colour CMYK printing, including full-bleed artwork and repeating brand patterns.
- Spot colour and Pantone matching to your brand palette.
- Gold and silver foil stamping on paper bags and gift packaging.
- White ink on coloured or clear plastic film, which is how a logo stays readable on a dark or transparent bag.
- Screen printing for bold single-colour logos on fabric and non-woven.
- Matte, gloss and soft-touch lamination on paper.
Minimum order quantities, stated plainly
This is wholesale, so there is a minimum on every product, and it is the question worth settling before anything else. The minimum follows the material, not the order value.
- Garment bags: from 500 units.
- Luxury paper bags, gift boxes and sewn reusable bags: from 500 units.
- Reusable and non-woven bags: 500 to 5,000 units depending on construction.
- Printed paper bags: from 5,000 units.
- Printed plastic bags: 5,000 to 10,000 units.
How long it takes
Standard production runs about 10 to 14 weeks from approved artwork to delivery. Air-expedited production runs about 5 weeks and costs more per unit. If you have a store opening, a trade show or a seasonal date to hit, say the date in your first message and you will get a straight answer about whether it is possible rather than an optimistic one.
Nothing is produced before you approve it
You get a digital proof showing your artwork on the bag, at size, with the handle and finish you chose. Production does not start until you approve it in writing. Print-ready files are welcome but not required: a logo and a description of what you want is enough to begin, and the artwork is prepared here at no extra cost.

What is the minimum order for custom printed bags?
It depends on the material. Garment bags, luxury paper bags, gift boxes and sewn reusable bags start at 500 units. Printed paper bags start at 5,000. Printed plastic bags run from 5,000 to 10,000. Tell us the bag you have in mind and you will get the exact minimum for that configuration.
Do I need print-ready artwork to get a quote?
No. A logo file or even a description of what you want is enough to start. Artwork preparation is part of the service and is not charged for separately.
Can you match our exact brand colours?
Yes. Brand colours are matched to Pantone references rather than approximated, on paper, plastic and fabric. On clear or dark plastic film a white underbase is used so the colour stays true.
How long does a custom bag order take?
About 10 to 14 weeks for standard production, or about 5 weeks air-expedited at a higher unit cost. The clock starts when you approve the proof, not when you first make contact.
Do you supply businesses outside New York?
Yes. Pack Plus is based in Brooklyn and supplies businesses across New York City, Long Island, Westchester, New Jersey and the wider United States.
